we reference a fantastic site – jazzinlondon.net.
very low tech and basic, this site points you to some great gigs, by no means all trad jazz, with a mix of soul and blues events also.
for the slightly larger gigs it is often best to follow your favourite artist websites to learn of gigs before they are promoted by the venue to achieve better seats.
events and festivals
eclectic and intimate environment gigs. we can not vouch for the quality of each gig, however this is one place where you should perhaps consider risking unknown gigs. why not go once a month without any knowledge of the artist you have booked. could be a disaster, but likely to be never dull.
you should be selective with radio 2. hit the right shows and you are in for a real treat. top of our list is radcliffe and maconie, paul jones, paul gambaccini, paul o'grady, trevor nelson and mike harding. enjoy!
a site to find where your favourite artists are performing. typically small low cost venues. watch out for occasional benefit gigs which are often outstanding occasions.
you will no doubt be aware of this multi gig venue enabling you to take in a film, followed by a free foyer gig, prior to a show. there is a great canteen and bars often oozing with interesting people.
another multi gig favourite. along side the national film institute, it is a complex humming with events and gigs.
