we all know how seriously supermarkets now take wine, however you still need to have your wits about you particularly with their store traffic building deals.
on the face of it waitrose has assembled by far the best wine management team assuming they are all full time employees.
we like the marks and spencer site regarding information on all their range.
if you try and compare sites however for best buys you will be quite frustrated!
we can not claim that the supermarkets are a zeebraspace environment or have our attitude, however we thought the reference list would be handy for you!

tesco still by far the largest market share. but the most successful will always attracted some negative criticism, as demonstrated by this recent article "wine deals reveals..." the tesco website does however list their entire range
sainsburys appears to have fought back strongly in recent years. their website unfortunately only features nominated wines
asda is in the top three of uk supermarkets, however we currently can not find an own asda wine range website. we will make further enquires!
morrisons is in fourth place by share, however their website does not appear to specify their range or prices. additionally they appear to have only one expert which looks weak compared to waitrose below
waitrose website is somewhat reassuring as they feature their buying team with pictures and bi-ops. if these are full time waitrose employees it would represent a buying team investment beyond most supermarkets in the market "the buying team ..."
marks and spencer are not large in share, but their website, is in our view first class and informative.
